Projected Changes in Extreme Temperature and Precipitation Indices Over CORDEX-MENA Domain

In this study, projected changes in climate extreme indices defined by the Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices were investigated over Middle East North Africa. Changes daily maximum minimum temperature- precipitation- based analyzed for end of 21st century compared to reference period 1971–2000 using regional model simulations. Regional model, RegCM4.4 was used downscale two different global outputs 50 km resolution under RCP4.5 RCP8.5 scenarios. Results generally indicate an intensification with increasing radiative forcing. particular, increase annual temperatures is more pronounced northern part Mediterranean Basin tropics. High warm nights spell duration all region a tropics are 2071–2100 together decrease or no change cold extremes. According results, total wet-day precipitation dry spells expected century.
